Austria

"In accordance with the provisions of Article 19, paragraph 1, of the European Convention
on the Social Protection of Farmers, the Republic of Austria declares that it reserves
the right provided for in the Annex, points 4 and 5 :
Point 4 : not to apply the provisions of Article 5, paragraph 1, sub-paragraph d.
;
Point 5 : not to apply the provisions of Article 5, paragraph 3.".
Belgium

"Belgium, availing itself of the possibility under Article 19, paragraph 1, of the
European Convention on the Social Protection of Farmers,
- excludes from the field of application of this Convention one or several of the
following categories of persons :
. self-employed persons occupied exclusively or mainly in agriculture, horticulture,
forestry, viticulture or other similar work, but not deriving the major part of their
income from these activities ;
. persons occupied exclusively in forestry ; and
- will not apply the provisions of Article 5, paragraph 3.".
Italy

"The Italian Government extends the benefit of the European Convention on the Social
Protection of Farmers to all nationals of the other Contracting Parties resident in
Italy, on condition of reciprocity.".
Liechtenstein

"In accordance with Article 19, paragraph 1, of the European Convention on the Social
Protection of Farmers, the Principality of Liechtenstein declares that Liechtenstein
shall not apply the provisions of Article 5, paragraph 1, sub-paragraphs b., c. and
d. and of Article 5, paragraph 3.".
Luxembourg

"The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg reserves the right not to apply the provision of Article
5, paragraph 3, of the Convention.".
Netherlands, the Kingdom of the

"The Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands approves the said Convention for
the Kingdom in Europe.
In accordance with the provisions of Article 19, paragraph 1, of the European Convention
on the Social Protection of Farmers, the Kingdom of the Netherlands declares that
it reserves the right provided for in the Annex, points 1 and 5 :
Point 1. to exclude from the field of application of this Convention the following
categories of persons:
- self-employed persons occupied exclusively or mainly in agriculture, horticulture,
forestry, viticulture or other similar work, but not deriving the major part of their
income from these activities,
- persons occupied exclusively in forestry ;
Point 5. not to apply the provisions of Article 5, paragraph 3.".
Spain

"The Spanish State reserves the right not to apply the provisions of Article 5, paragraph
1, sub-paragraphs b, c and d.
The Spanish State excludes from the field of application of this Convention workers
who, occupied exclusively or mainly in agriculture, do not derive the major part of
their income from such activity.".
Switzerland

"Switzerland, availing itself of the possibility under Article 19 of the European
Convention on the social Protection of Farmers, declares that it reserves the right
:
- not to apply the provisions of Article 5, paragraph 1, sub-paragraph b; - not to
apply the provisions of Article 5, paragraph 1, sub-paragraph c; - not to apply the
provisions of Article 5, paragraph 1, sub-paragraph d; - not to apply the provisions
of Article 5, paragraph 3.".
United Kingdom

"The United Kingdom, in accordance with the provisions of Article 19, paragraph 1,
of the European Convention on the Social Protection of Farmers and the Annex thereto,
declares that it reserves the right :
1. to exclude from the field of application of this Convention one or several of the
following categories of persons :
- self-employed persons occupied exclusively or mainly in agriculture, horticulture,
forestry, viticulture or other similar work, but not deriving the major part of their
income from these activities,
- persons occupied exclusively in forestry ;
2. not to apply the provisions of Article 5, paragraph 1, sub-paragraph c. ;
3. not to apply the provisions of Article 5, paragraph 1, sub-paragraph d.".
